Section One: The following polices are the current and active Juggernaut Rules, Regulations and Disciplinary Action guidelines for all Officers, Members, and Initiates. Questions should be directed to Juggernaut Officers. In case of disagreement, officer arbitration decisions will stand as precedent. At all times, officer discretion and decisions are final. Disciplinary Action may result for any rules infraction, see section III below for details.

  1. Rules
    1. Guild Chat is for guild related discussion only. This is not a means of advertising goods for sale, begging for gold or services or complaining about guild rules, practices or decisions. Spamming of items for sale and services is forbidden. Please post in the appropriate forum if you are able to share your services with other guild members. If you wish to vent please discuss such things in private chat. All officers have final say on inappropriate guild conversation. Overt profanity, disparaging remarks and insults about Juggernauts or any of its members will not be tolerated.
    2. All guild chat should be kept respectful and dignified. Guild chat should remain at a Rated R level and not slip into rated X. This includes foul language and personal insults. Abbreviations, misspellings and slang for same such foul language is not permitted. Please avoid such topics as politics, religion and personal ethics. Please keep language and topics at the appropriate level and remember that some members are minors. Officers have the right to stop any conversations that may be offensive to members or disruptive to guild activities.
    3. All guild members are to be treated with equal respect, dignity and demeanor. No officer, member or initiate is above the guild rules. No player should suffer undue teasing, harassment or personal insults. Members are encouraged to bring such issues to the attention of officers immediately. If your accusation is justified, appropriate action will be taken. However, we take a dim view on false accusations. Punishment of harsher levels will be taken on the accuser.
    4. All members should conduct themselves with integrity when playing with people outside the guild. Any player found to be damaging the guild reputation, either through word or action; will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. Juggernaut officers will follow up on claims of inappropriate behavior from non-guild members as well and members may be subject to disciplinary action. All players are encouraged to report any such behavior, regardless of offending member’s rank, to officers.
  2. Regulations
    1. Raid looting is dictated by current loot policies. At this time Juggernaut uses the EPGP method for drops from raiding and a separate attendance policy for banked items. Please see the EPGP pages for further details. Members are encouraged to post comments about raid loot and rewards to an officer and in forums or by private message. If a member is unsure about loot please discuss this with an officer.
    2. Ninja looting – the act of taking loot without group agreement or in violation of guild loot rules – is not tolerated. Honest looting errors may happen – this is to be determined at time of the error and restitution from player’s own resources may be demanded.
    3. Website registration and frequent visitation is REQUIRED. Frequent visitation is defined by a minimum of weekly viewing of new posts and relevant changes. Raid strategy, loot discussion, supply opportunities and general member discussion will be hosted on the guild website. Raids will not be stopped for discussion and explanation of new policies and strategy; the website is the appropriate forum for Juggernaut and raiding issues. Initiates must register on the guild website and reply to certain rule posts before being allowed to raid with Juggernaut. A player will not be excused from knowledge or compliance with regulations and requirements due to ignorance. All members are advised and encouraged to visit the forums regularly to stay on top of current developments.
    4. A player may only have one designated main raiding character, "Main" in Juggernauts. At this time a player is allowed several alternate characters all designated as "Alts". A player is expected to show up for the designated raid run as his/her Main character. Any changes in needs to group composition will be evaluated by the current raid lead and discussed changes made at that time. Example: if you raid regularly as a healer and then decide to show up as your alternate DPS character, you will NOT be participating in that evening's raid. All changes in status – from alt to main and vice versa must be approved by the Juggernaut Officers. Removal of characters from the guild will be considered a guild quit. If a player quits without appropriate discussion with the Herald he/she is not allowed back. Please discuss issues with officers; leaving the guild may not be the solution to your problem.
    5. A player is at all times responsible for all of the actions of all characters on their account. Any negative actions will be deemed the resonsbility of the player - not a friend, relative or stranger. Juggernauts does not allow player substitutions of the same character. If the player is absent, so is the character. Do not ask us to raid with a friend, relative or stranger playing your character.
    6. Players agree to comply with the general requirements of attendance, gear, and supply requirements as stated on Juggernaut forums. Raiding requires consistent attendance, upgrading of gear and consumables from each player. Failure to meet these requirements will result in Disciplinary Action. Requirements are subject to change so continue to check the forums and current discussions.
    7. The authority in the guild rests solely with the Guild Master and Officers (whether on main or alt.) They have complete authority to enforce the rules to any and all members, even officers. While certainly we are all imperfect, officers are deemed “correct until proven wrong” and all decisions should be respected. However, if a player feels they have been unfairly judged or have certain issues, appeals may be made directly to the Juggernaut Guild Master Snivel.
    8. Donations to the guild are strictly voluntary. At no time will any officer or member of Juggernaut demand money (virtual or real). Please report any such request to an officer or guild master immediately. We welcome gifts but do not require them. Any funds or items donated to the guild bank are immediately considered guild property. Do not donate if you wish for compensation, consideration or the item/funds back. The guild bank is not for personal storage.
  3. Disciplinary Action
    1. Level One: Member will receive a whisper or general guild chat reminder from a guild officer warning of offense and inappropriate behavior. Take actions to remedy such behavior. A repeat offense will result in further action. Ex: A first language offense may get a general “Language” warning in chat. A second offense may result in a whisper or level two measures.
    2. Level Two: Member is reduced to initiate rank and may be censured by officers. Probation members are on warning and may be banned from raids or voice chat for a period of time. Ex: Representing the guild in pick up groups in a negative manner may result in immediate reduction of rank. Member may also be banned from 1 or more raids. Further infraction(s) will result in Level Three action.
    3. Level Three: Member is kicked from the guild, including alternate and is placed on a Do Not Invite list. Ex: Deliberate or repeated Ninja looting, continued and unexplained absences from raiding, ignoring website participation, etc. A member may also be kicked if they go into general chat and start insulting guild members, officers and guild(s).

Fellow members want to play World of Warcraft with similar players with like goals. These rules are an effort to keep a friendly, comfortable atmosphere with which all can enjoy the raiding goals of Juggernaut. Any and all questions should be directed to Juggernaut Officer.

Section Two: Raiding Night Guidelines! Let the action begin! In addition to having your account logged in on raid nights there are some other requirements for regular and alternate raiding members. These rules are in effect to make sure that the same state of readiness is expected of all members. The majority of these rules are common sense. However, if you didn’t know something below or are new to raiding, it’s nice to know what’s expected of each member.

  1. Be PREPARED with supplies, reagents, special food, extra armor, money for repairs and be repaired. Take the time to go on “shopping” runs before the run to assure your character has what it needs to be in top performance for the entire raid.
  2. Know the LOCATION of the instance being raided. Being on time is all for nothing if you are in the wrong zone at 7:30 pm…and it doesn’t count.
  3. Be on TIME – buffs go out at 7:55 pm sharp! DON'T ASK FOR ANOTHER MAGE TABLE OR SOUL WELL BECAUSE YOU WERE LATE! The first pull is at 8pm. If you just getting on-line at 8pm – you are late. A replacement has most likely already been found. Do NOT count on a summons. Members are getting ready to raid and should not be expected to stop preparations to summon. MEMBERS WHO CONTINUALLY REQUEST A SUMMONS WILL BE GIVEN WARNINGS. EVERY MEMBER IS EXPECTED TO MAKE IT TO THE RAID SITE ON THEIR OWN POWER AND ON TIME, NO EXCUSES.
  4. Know your ROLE – are you healing, dps, off tank? Know the encounters and what you are supposed to do. Raiders are expected to read strategy forums and be paying attention to raid instructions for all encounters.
  5. Do you know Juggernaut’s loot rules? Please read the EPGP FAQ as well as know what is going on as things change. DO NOT LOOT DURING BATTLE! It is Juggernaut policy to wait until the encounter is over before looting. Loot windows popping up during action may distract a player during a critical moment. DO NOT LOOT A BOSS! All players must be alive after boss battles to ensure proper distribution of loot. Raid leaders know when all players are alive and will send out raid messages as to what loot is being bid upon.
  6. Are your MODS working? Was there an update? Patch? Please make sure any settings adjustments are made and you can see applicable group member stats. Group up before raids to test any new UI or MOD changes. Raid invites are sent out 15 minutes prior to raid time, use this time to be ready and fix any problems that are present. AS OF JAN 8. 2009 ALL MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE OMEN OR KTM THREAT METERS LOADED AND RUNNING DURING ALL GUILD RUNS, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHECKED THE WEBSITE AND KNOW WHICH MODS ARE MANDATORY.
  7. Can you HEAR and be heard? All members are required to be able to download the Ventrilo chat client. Please contact a senior member or officer (BEFORE RAIDING TIME) if you are having problems with this feature. NO EXCEPTIONS. Not being able to hear last minute instructions or warnings can wipe a raid. If you cannot hear us, we cannot play with you. No raiding instructions will be typed for those that are unable to hear.
  8. Is your internet working? Is your latency high? If you experience internet disconnects then you will be replaced and your attendance voided. Having a member disconnect during battle may wipe the raid. Waiting extended periods of time for a member to reconnect will hamper progression as many trash mobs before a boss are on a strict timer. The occasional disconnect is understandable and sometimes the game has a mind of its own, however, a pattern of disconnects will be grounds for raiding removal and repeated removals will make a player ineligible for raiding.
  9. Are you PREPARED to be at your computer for 3-4 hours? Have you taken a bio break and got your recent nicotine fix? The raid takes breaks after bosses as necessary and is always sensitive to last minute absences from the computer. Raid leaders do ready checks before pulling after a break. These breaks last 5-15 minutes, depending on need. Members are expected to return at the appointed time and be ready for the raid to continue. A member who leaves for a break and does not return will be considered absent and replaced once the break is doubled. For example: a 15 minute break that turns into 30 minutes or more is unacceptable. A pattern of extended breaks will make a player ineligible for raiding. A PLAYER IS ALSO EXPECTED TO BE AT HIS/HER COMPUTER FOR THE ENTIRE RAID ENCOUNTER. LEAVING EARLY WILL VOID YOUR ENTIRE ATTENDANCE FOR THE EVENING AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION WILL RESULT.
  10. Consequences. These rules are enforced. It is not Juggernaut’s policy to play favorites or to exclude some members from having to obey these and other established rules. To that end, we are not tyrants either. A member will be subject to negative consequences when a pattern of behavior has been observed. A pattern is constituted by similar behavior three or more times and reported by raid leaders. All reports will be confirmed with raid leaders and officers. Raid leaders may not necessarily be officers and are considered the current authority on raids. These members are not given raid leader lightly and should be obeyed during raids as an officer. Members found to be breaking one or multiple rules will be warned, suspended and/or removed from the guild.

Section Three: Below are the specific attendance policies for the Juggernaut guild.

  1. Philosophy:

                         A.            Juggernaut understands that life comes first. Everyone here remembers that this is a game, albeit a beloved hobby. Other that the elements listed below; there will be no negative retribution for missing the allowed raiding times. While our goal is focused progression, we all still realize that there are other matters that may require extended periods of time away from gaming. All we ask for is advance notice in the shape of a quick forum post or direct phone call that you will be unavailable; no further explanation is needed or expected. We do respect the need for privacy of our member’s personal lives. Notice is needed at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled raid.

                          B.            All Team Member characters are considered equal at this time. All Guild Members who are not assigned to a team are considered valid substitutes. If you are online on time, you are eligible to substitute into any existing team, depending on the specific need and gear requirements of the run.

  1. Attendance Structure:

                         A.            Juggernaut requires all active Team Members to be available for ALL scheduled runs. This includes both 10-man and 25-man raid teams. General Members (not assigned to a Team) have no minimum requirements. Team Members who fail to show up for scheduled runs without advance notice will be dropped from the roster and replaced permanently by another member.

                          B.            Raid Slots: All raids have limited room for raiders. The specific mix is defined by the raid lead, but in general, is 4 tanks, 6 healers, 15 dps for 25 man raids, and 2 tanks, 2 healers, and 6 dps for 10 man raids. The specific numbers are determined by the raid lead and current guild strategy for an instance. All team members online at 7:45 are invited to the raid. If and only if Team Members are unavailable or fail to show up, will the remaining slots be filled by the general guild membership. The Team Captain has complete discretion over who to recruit in these cases.

                          C.            Raid Slots Exceptions: In some cases, current guild strategy requires specific numbers or classes to accomplish a goal. For example, having a Mage to spell steal Krosh in Gruul's Lair is considered mandatory. In these cases, these minimum requirements supersede any raid slot considerations. In this example, 1 mage would be immune from dps-overbooking, and any others would have to adjust or sit out.

                         D.            Late: ROLL CALL IS AT 7:55 ON THE DOT – USING SERVER TIME. Quoting Jughead, “To be on time is to be early.” The first PULL is at 8pm. By this time everyone should be ready to play. A member showing up to the raid at 8pm (without prior notice and approval) is considered absent. The raid enters the instance at 7:55 and begins to start buffs immediately, so that we can have the first pull at 8 PM. If you are late, then it impacts this timeline, and affects how far we can reach in a given night.

                         G.            Absences: Any Team Member who needs to be absent for a particular run is required to either post on the guild forums, notify the Team Captain by phone, or send an ingame email to the Team Captain at least 1 hour prior to the start of the run. Failure to do so will result in your absence being counted as unexcused, possibly removing you from the team.

  1. Discussion:

                         A.            Members that need assistance to determine the right course of action for their needed time off are encouraged to speak with an officer in game or through a forum post.
